A Swedish Painter in San Antonio, Texas USA

PAINTER
Born in Sweden and moved to Wisconsin, USA in 2001.
It was time for a change in life. Life had come to a standstill
and I wanted more out of it...so I took my talents across the Atlantic Ocean.
After 10 years in beautiful Wisconsin it is time to move. This time to Texas.

When I started to paint in 1987, I worked with gouache.
Moving to the USA I changed to acrylics and later I added oil.

Coming to rural Wisconsin, I added a new dimension to my creativity.
I started taking photos of old farmhouses, farm equipment left in the field,
as well as moments in life. See the images in the Gallery above

ENTREPRENEUR
When I first came to the USA I worked as a Chef for a year. Then I took my art on
the road only to discover that I couldn't live on clean air, beautiful scenery
and art shows alone, I actually had to work...

So, I went back to the kitchen and opened up my third pizza
parlor, my first in USA. I had the restaurant between 2004 - 2008
As we don't have communities fully equipped with city hall, police
and fire brigade for 1500 people in Europe, I didn't discover the obvious until too late.
It is like selling water in the dessert - if there is no people...who's going to buy it...

While it lasted I received a lot of nice comments from my guests. As the same happened when I had my other restaurants, I figured it was time to get them in writing. So, check out my own "Wall of Fame" .
