WHAT YOU CAN DO if you want to try. As after all I am self-taught...
and a class with me would never be what you could expect.

I only paint when I feel like it, You can do the same. But in order for that to work

IT IS NECESSARY that you have paint and canvas or/and art paper for watercolor paints at home. I say watercolor paper as acrylics (which I recommend you use are mixable with water).

Acrylics are as good as oil. And if you Google to figure out which is best...You will find at acrylics is better. One reason, the one I mentioned above, you can mix it and clean the brushes with water. AND it dries quickly. Oil dries after perhaps 1/2 year.

That's it!

Buy the basic colors, I think they are called the primary colors. Look it up as I have no clue.

Don't buy cheap, like a hobby store paint. Buy quality. Over the years I have used Golden something and Liquitex. I use Liquitex and I buy them online at a store called www.dickblick.com  They have really good prices.  And buy a set of brushes medium priced.

Then you paint. Keep this in mind, that with art there is nothing correct and nothing wrong.
With that simple knowledge, you understand that anyone can paint. After that comes what you want to do with it. Do you paint for yourself or do you want to sell...

Any questions, feel free to ask
